Bluecoat received news in August 2016 that we have secured £100,000 in match funding from Arts Council England's Catalyst: Evolve Fund. This means that for every £1 we raise from legacies or individual donations, the Arts Council will give another £1, doubling the value of each donation.
As well as this, there is another £50,000 to help Bluecoat get the word out about the incredible opportunities that making a donation to Liverpool's oldest building can bring.
The money will help keep our garden and courtyards as a free haven of tranquillity for all in the very heart of Liverpool; a place where you can see amazing art, or just bring your sandwiches and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. It will also make a huge difference to the lives of primary school children, people with learning disabilities, families and the many other groups that enjoy our range of activities to make the arts accessible, life-enriching and fun for everyone.
It's a particularly exciting time for Bluecoat as we celebrate our 300th birthday in 2017. If you'd like to find out more about giving or leaving a legacy that will keep us at the heart of Liverpool life for the next 300 years, please call our Head of Development, James Hernandez on 0151 702 7776.
